Road Trip

We left Mendoza Saturday morning. We rented a car to move freely from Mendoza to Cordoba. Here are 2 photos taken on the road: 1) the road in the middle of the desert, 2) a street from San Jose de Jachal, a small village that Lonely Planet describes as charming. Well, it was charming compared to the not so charming villages we passed by earlier!

Fun Facts:
-Cambio por favor: Its kinda hard to get change here. At some point, I decided to buy something in a kiosk to get some change. I picked something at 0,60 pesos and gave the clerk 2 pesos...She asked for something smaller (!) which I did not have so she preferred not to sell me the item!!! For a taxi ride of 6 pesos, taxi drivers will say they dont have change for a 20 pesos (less than 10$ CDN)...But the ATMs give us 100 pesos bills...Of course ;)
-Il y a pire que cela dans la vie (theres worst in life than this): Vero started to use this expression whenever something would happen (example: waiting for a late airplane, wine that is not at the right temperature, etc.). So, its now Wezo copyrighted!
-On the road, the driver must be careful since there are animals crossing the road from times to times (dogs, horses, cows, goats, snakes).

Il y a aussi des manas (gros lapin) et des chauves-souris!

Sounds like you have had a lot of fun in there. The money issues are really surprising, but it reminds me of Cuba few years ago, when they still had double currency in there...

Have a safe and good trip and keep us posted.
